Plant daffodil bulbs in the fall or early winter when the soil temperature is 60°F or colder. In the North, this is usually September or October, and in the South, it's usually October or November.

Dig a hole that's about three times as deep as the bulb is tall, and space the holes 4–6 inches apart. Place the bulb in the hole with the pointed end facing up.

  • Water the bulbs well and wait for spring. 
  • After blooming: Allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it. 
  • Caring for daffodils: Feed daffodils with plant food every three months after they bloom to help the bulbs store nutrients for the next growing season.
